I do not endorse this video, nor do I recommend the purchase of these products or services. In my opinion, this sales presnetation was geared to appeal to a fringe elemnet in society, and it exploits there fears of a complete socio-economic collapse of the USA.
Neither am I saying that these premises are without merit. Anything could happen at this juncture with our world condition. We are into uncharted territory. Anyone could benefit by these3 warnings and/or information, but not necessarily for the fear-mongering reasons cited herein. I have long held that family preparation of this sort has a very practical emergency prepared pupose for very likely eventualities such as truckers' strikes, civil unrest, tornadoes, earthquakes and numerous other natural occurances that we have been seeing more of recently.
I will also suggest that this same information is and has been available from other sources entirely free of charge and is especially available now with the Internet.
The reason I am posting this Internet video marketing example is because it is representative of a new form of old-school marketing that is sweeping the Interent today.
For best instructional analysis of this video, I recommend that you find a quite place with a fifteen to thirty minute time block of study time.
With a notepad and pen begin the video. Listen to the content and pause the video when you feel any point has or has not been scored by the video--using your emotions and intellect as a guide. Try to notate the nature of the impact the video has had for good or for bad. Note what what borad and specific emotions or rationale are being played?
At the end of this exercise, I would be interested to here your comments regarding how you feel this marketing effort sucedes or fails, as well as your overall opinion of both the effectiveness and ehics of this type of markieting presentation.
I will first say this: although I do not agree entirely with the content, nor with all of the methods and ehtics employed in this presentation--I do feel that any marketer or salesman can benefit by understanding them.
Further, by analyzing this presentation as I have suggested, you are assured of separatng the bs from the gold, thereby making it an effective way to get to the bottom of any emotional propagan-laden presentation. Politics is especially prone to using these methods to motivate people to action without a milligram of fact. So it is a good season to equip yourself for dealing with this kind of presentation.
