But this time there's one big difference. The new prime minister will be a woman, the first to hold the position in Thailand.

Yingluck Shinawatra, a 44-year-old businesswoman who wasn't even in politics two months ago, is poised to get the top job after the stunning election victory of Puea Thai (For Thais), whose de facto leader is her brother, fugitive ex-premier Thaksin Shinawatra.

Yingluck, known as Pou (Crab), the nickname her parents gave her, has never run for office or held a government post, so she has a lot to prove to show she can run the country.

But some Thais, especially females, want to give her the benefit of the doubt and see this as a big step for women in a country where they have struggled for equal representation in government.

"I've always wanted to have the first lady prime minister," said Areerak Saelim, 42-year-old owner of a sunglass shop in a Bangkok market.

"I've seen too many men failing to run the country. Maybe this time, things will be different. What women are -- and men aren't -- is meticulous. I'm pretty sure she can do the job based on her age and successful career."

Foxnewspolitics Twitter Feed Hacked - FoxNews.com

FoxNews.com's Twitter feed for political news, FoxNewspolitics, was hacked early Monday morning.

Hackers sent out several malicious and false tweets claiming that President Obama had been assassinated. Those reports were incorrect, of course, and the president was spending the July 4 holiday with his family at the White House.

The tweets have been removed from the feed.

FoxNews.com alerted the U.S. Secret Service, which will investigate the hacking and do "appropriate follow up," spokesman George Ogilvie said. 

Jeff Misenti, vice president and general manager of Fox News Digital, said FoxNews.com was working with Twitter to address the situation as quickly as possible.

"We will be requesting a detailed investigation from Twitter about how this occurred, and measures to prevent future unauthorized access into FoxNews.com accounts," Misenti said.

FoxNews.com regrets any distress the false tweets may have created.

Former Treasury official Jay Powell says the government would likely pay interest first, leaving popular domestic programs in jeopardy.

"It could be Social Security. It could be Medicare. It could be Medicaid. We can't pay everything," Powell says.

The stalemate in Washington has some asking if President Obama could simply bypass Congress and order the Treasury to keep borrowing.

The argument is based on a little-known section in the 14th Amendment, stating the public debt of the United States "shall not be questioned."

"If Congress refuses to act, the argument would run, the president out of necessity must act in order to follow the command of the constitution," says Garrett Epps with the University of Baltimore Law School.

The idea highlights how desperate the debate has gotten.

"That's crazy talk. It's not acceptable for Congress and the president not to do their job and to say somehow the president has the authority then to basically do this by himself," says Sen. John Cornyn, R-Tex.

If it is Social Security or Medicare, it will be by design, as the Whitehouse makes the choice. They would undoubtedly choose one of those lor both in order to attempt to blame the Republican House. My feeling is that it would be better to have a preview of what will inevitably happen when we naturally run out of people to tax. Raising the debt ceiling is merely delaying the agony. Why not face the music now, before it gets even worse.

Brinkerhoff is a longtime martial law advocate. He borrowed his ideas on martial law from then FEMA director, Louis O. Guiffrida. In 1970 at the Army War College, Guiffrida outlined his plan for martial law in case of a national uprising by black militants. The paper advocated the roundup and transfer to “assembly centers or relocation camps” of at least 21 million “American Negroes,” the Miami Herald reported on July 5, 1987, during the Iran-Contra hearings.

Canceling Posse Comitatus is not about a benevolent Pentagon helping strapped local officials and over-burdened local cops save people from car accidents or the ravages of hurricanes and tornadoes. It has little to do with rioting “Negroes.”

It’s about imposing martial law. Propaganda campaigns portraying uniformed soldiers wielding the jaws of life soften people up for the presence of troops on the streets. This trend is more than alarming. In light of other recent encroachements upon our Constitutional rights, ignoring of laws, and law-making via department policy--our Commander in Chief is in a powerful position to misuse the military.
As he is threatening to misconstrue the Fourteenth Amendment to cover an executive order to raise the debt ceiling if Congress does not pass it by his "deadline". If Americans ever do wake up, mthey may find themselves in a dictaorship backed by our military.
