A terrible event has just taken place in , VA. A lone gunman just committed mass murder with one or two of the firearms, which he legally purchased a few weeks ago.
Already headlines of gun-haters are tell the world that the United States of America is flawed because it allows seemingly people to buy guns. These liberal throngs will use the knee-jerk emotions created by this incomprehensible act to limit the liberties assure to the rest of us by the Second Amendment to the United States Constitution.
Let me state here in this blog, another perspective than will be presented by the liberal press.
How could all of these people have allowed one armed man, small i9n stature, to kill them and their associates? Why could enough bravado have been summoned by one or two people to overrun this nut and take him out before he was able to enact such carnage.
Further, entertain this concept for just a few moments, could not the fault of the system lie in the failure of available means for students and teachers and janitors to defend themselves?
It is against the law for anyone other than a special officer of the law to carry weapons on campus. It is also unlawful for people less than 21 years of age to obtain permits to allow them to legally carry guns at all. If this had not been the case, isn’t it reasonable to assume that some, if not most of those people who were attacked by this lunatic, have been armed sufficiently to enable them to stop this renegade deviate Cho Seung-Hui?
Of course, in our society, especially in a liberal-leaning academia and the press it spawns, such notions will be impossible to even be entertained. Outlandish would be the common response. Non-sense and unthinkable, will be the cry.
But ask yourself, “Who is going to protect me?”
Sadly, in most cases, the answer is, “No one!” That is of course it is you!
It is your right and responsibility to defend and protect yourself and family, and otherwise defenseless people, from predators, criminals, and the deranged who are bent on hurting or killing people.”
It can’t be done by the army, or the local law, security cops, or any institution. So don’t count on anyone other than yourself to do so, when the chips are down.
I commend the bravado of the Professor who had been a survivor of the holocaust and a refuge from communism, who saved lives by physically holding shut the door to his classroom while others escaped, until finally sacrificing himself to the gunman. May we revere the name of Professor Liviu Librescu for his courage and the example of his last life lesson.
Americans often lack guts. We have become soft. We expect others to do our work.
No gun-control laws will ever be enacted that will prevent such events as the one that happened in Blackberg, VA by a disturbed student named .
On the other-hand, during the last century alone, approximately half a billion people were executed by their own governments after previously disarming them.
Our Founding Fathers knew the minds of despots and renegades and the deranged—and they allowed us a solution to protect ourselves from such. It was and still is the Second Amendment of the Constitution of the United States.
My solution to the terrible event that happened yesterday at VA Tech is at least as plausible as any other, and probably more practical and sane than any other. That solution is: get a gun, learn to respect and use it. Take every legal means necessary to take care of yourself, because in most cases no one else will.
